According to the Rhoton to Abshier letter and information of March 2003, Bartholomew G. Gaddie had no children. His occupation in the 1880 census was listed as "Work in F (flour?) Mill". An undated letter from Johnston to Rhoton states that Bartholomew's middle name was 'Stovall' (like his dad's), and that he was a "Jr.", and not Bartholomew G. Gaddie.
