    DEATH OF MRS. JOHN BRUDER

    Mrs. John Bruder died at her home in this village Saturday, October 21. She had been in poor health for several months as a result of heart trouble. The funeral was held from the Catholic church in this village Wednesday, October 25, at 9 o'clock in the morning. Rev. Francis Britcher officiating and interment was in the cemetery of the church. Mrs. Bruder was born Miss Augusta Vaese and she was born in Germany March 27, 1859. She came to the United States in April, 1892, coming immediately to Minnesota and to Long Prairie. She was married in Germany in 1885 and was the mother of eight children, four of whom survive. They are: Clem Bruder and August Bruder of Reynolds township; John Bruder of Iona township, and Mrs. Martha Bender of Long Prairie. She was a member of the Christian Mother's Society of the local Catholic church. Mrs. Bruder was highly esteemed and respected by all who knew her. In her death she is mourned by a wide circle of friends. The Leader extends its sympathy to the bereaved husband and children.
