Arthur Gabet Butler - Arthur A. Gabet, 87, died Saturday, March 4, 2006, at Dekalb Memorial Hospital in Auburn. Mr Gabet was a retired truck driver and a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was born Oct 26, 1918, in New Haven to Joseph And Teresa (Vachon) Gabet. On Oct 12, 1940, in New Haven, he married Rose Housel. She survives. Also surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Pamela Gabet and Richard Gabet, all of Butler; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Rose Ann and Jerry Dohner of Butler, Patricia and Charles Miller of Hicksville, Ohio, and Ellen Kelder of Garrett; two brothers, Charles Gabet of New Haven and Norbert Gabet of Cromwell; a sister, Ruth Ann Gingery of Garrett; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Ronald, five brothers; and a sister. Services will be Wednesday at 1 P.M. in H. E. Johnson & Son Funeral Home, Butler, with Father Daniel R. Leeuw officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery at Edgerton, Ohio, with military grave side services by American Legion Post 202 of Butler. Calling will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home, with a rosary service beginning at 7:30p.m. Memorials are to Dekalb Memorial Hospice.
