Samantha "Mattie" Vorhis Crumrine wrote her cousin Jane Love: "you wanted to know if Adas Ma was living / is not / she will be dead three year the last of this month / ada was only three weeks old / she is a twin / her mate died at Six months old / they were boath little girls / he [Ada's father Jacob Tharp] has Six children with him / he is keeping house and have been for the past tow year / they all lived here at Mothers one year.
