[from Germany. Johannes Martin Krumm filed his application to emigrate at Wuerttemberg, Germany in May 1832. He brought his wife and all eight ofhis children that were alive at that time. He and his family would thentake a coach quite a distance to the Rhine, or go by foot. Dependingupon the port from which they left, Antwerpen, Rotterdam or Le Havre inFrance they had even to cross France. It took them a long while to getto the harbour, where they could go onboard. The trip across the oceanwould have taken about 2 months, so it is safe to assume they would havearrived in America in the summer of 1832]
