Alma Etta Conklin was born on 27 August 1865 in Ohioand died 11 December 1942. She is buried with her parents and sister in the Rochester Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas. The 1902 Topeka city directory shows her living at 612 Topeka Avenue and working as a sales lady at Crosby Brothers. The 1920 census shows her living at 411 West 7th Street in Topeka with sisters Nellie and Sarah and Ralph Peterson (listed as relative). Her obituary states that she worked at Crosby Bros. for 45 years. It also names six nephews including Otho and Clarence Burton.
