On April 22, 1903 she married Dexter Glover in Cooper County, Missouri. To this marriage eight children were born. Dexter died on August 30, 1919 and Ozetta followed him in death on September 24, 1922. ____________________________________________________________________________ Obituary for Ozetta Hughes Glover. This was received by Ron Stephenson from his Aunt Mabel Malona Glover who was married to John (Jack) Newton and later to W. W. DeVoe.

"Ozetta Hughes Glover was born December 25, 1886 in Frederick, Rice County, Kansas, and departed this life Sunday morning September 24, 1922. She was the daughter of Bennet and Catherine Hughes and with them removed to Saline County, Missouri where she grew to womanhood.

She was united in marriage to Dexter Glover on April 22, 1903 and to this union eight children were born. One child died in infancy. The seven surviving children are Allie Mae, Wilbur, Albert, Mabel, Dollie, Delta and Violet Glover. Also her mother, Mrs. Catherine Hughes and two brothers, Stephen and Frank Hughes of Leonard Missouri, a sister Mrs. M. E. Mills of Boonesboro, Missouri and a third brother, Roy Hughes of Cherry Box, Missouri. Mrs. Mills arrived Saturday night a few hours before her sisters death.

Mr. Glover died three and a half years ago. Since then Mrs. Glover has kept the family together and mothered them to the best of her ability and in those efforts she has not failed.

About five years ago she was converted and joined the Methodist Church. When informed that her recovery was doubtful, she called her children to her again and commended Christ and the Christian life to them. She advised them that in the years to come they should seek their companionship among Christian men and women and follow Christian advise.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. U. V. Wyatt from the Methodist Church at ten o'clock Monday morning. A host of friends tried to aid and comfort her in her last sickness and followed her remains to the church and Belton Cemetery. She was a fine gentle woman and her life will ever be an inspiration to all who knew her. Every heart in the Community goes out to the bereft children in their sorrow."
