Obituary for Allie Mae Stephenson (Glover)

BURLEY--Allie Mae Stephenson, 79, of Burley, died Thursday (June 16, 1983) at the Burley Care Center.

Born March 21, 1904, in Pilot Grove, Mo., she married Charles William Stephenson on Feb. 28, 1925, at Olathe, Kan. They moved to Idaho in 1937, homesteading in the Milner area. Both Mr. and Mrs. Stephenson had worked at the A and P processing plant in Burley.

They moved to Twin Falls in 1960 (actually 1956) and returned to Burley in 1978. Mr Stephenson died on Dec. 24, 1978.

Surviving are: three sons, Charles Stephenson of Salt Lake City, Larry Stephenson of Burley and Ronald Stephenson of Boise; three daughters, Peggy Hillman and Barbara Gagnon both of Twin Falls, and Dorothy Spann of Burley; four sisters, Mabel DeVoe of San Francisco, Delta Edmondson of Kansas City, Mo., Dollie Mills of Columbia, Mo., and Violet Bisig of Savannah, Mo.; 24 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter and a grandchild.

The funeral will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. at McCulloch's Funeral Home in Burley, with pastor Ritchie Weers of Twin Falls officiating. Burial will be in Gem Memorial Gardens in Burley.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 8:30 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
