Service For Allan Bacon Wednesday

Allan (Bud) Bacon, 60, rural Postville, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 1992, at the Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon, following a lengthy illness.

Funeral service was held Wednesday, Oct. 21, 10:30 am, at the Community Presbyterian Church, Postville. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery, with Schutte Funeral Home, Postville, in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly; three sons, Dwight and Sam, Postville, and Jerry, Albion; a daughter, Jenny Pannell, Beaumont, TX; eight grandchildren; four brothers, William, Elgin, Don and Richard, Monona, Ralph, Postville, and a sister, Shirley, Mrs. Jim Drake, Omaha, NE.

Mr. Bacon, a 1950 graduate of the Monona High School, served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He and the former Beverly Nelson were married August 18, 1951. Mr. Bacon had farmed in the Postville area.

Burial: Postville Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Schutte Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Beverly; three sons, Dwight and "Sam," both of Postville, and Jerry of Albion; a daughter, Jenny Pannell of Beaumont, Texas; four brothers, William of Elgin, Don and Richard, both of Monona, and Ralph of Postville; and a sister, Shirley Drake of Omaha, Neb. Also surviving are eight grandchildren.
