ARNTZEN, Alice Marie, 66, 4153 Patos Drive, Ferndale, passed away in a Bellingham Rest Home Jan. 25, (1973) following an extended illness. Born in Custer, she grew up in Whatcom County and had made her home in Marysville for 14 years prior to returning to Whatcom County. Mrs. Arntzen was a member of Ferndale Triumph Lutheran Church, Fidelity Grange No. 206, Seventh Degree member; and the North Bellingham Improvement Club. Surviving are her husband, Gerald, at the family home; son Wendell of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; brother, George Bruland, Bellingham; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Matson and Mrs. George Sundahl, both of Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Veroske's Funeral Home Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. J. G. Erickson officiating. Burial followed in Greenacres Memorial Park.
