BRULAND, Rasmus M., age 86 of Ferndale passed away in a Bellingham rest home Wednesday, May 8, (1963) following an extended illness. Mr. Bruland had been a resident of the Ferndale Community for the past 58 years and was a member of the White Horn Golgatha Lutheran Church and Birch Bay Grange. Survivors include three daughters Mrs. Bess Matson of Seattle.[other daus. not listed] One son George Bruland of Ferndale. Three sisters Mrs. Catherine Johnson of Ferndale, Mrs. Anton Flotree and Miss Mathilda Bruland both of Bellingham. Nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted in the Moles Funeral Home, Friday May 10 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. E. P. Dreyer officiating. Final resting place Greenacres Memorial Park.
