BRULAND, Gusta, age 80, of Ferndale, passed away in a local hospital Sunday, July 16, (1961) following an extended illness. Mrs. Bruland had been a resident of the Ferndale community the past 56 years and was a member of the Whitehorn Lutheran Free Church. Survivors include her husband, Rasmus, one son, George Bruland of Ferndale; 3 daughters, Mrs. Bess Matson of Boise, Idaho; Mrs. Alice Arntzen, of Marysville, and Mrs. Myrtle Matson of Seattle; 2 brothers, Mandie Wagelie of Ferndale and Everett Wagelie of Newsmans Grove, Nebraska. Funeral services will be conducted in the Moles' Monroe Chapel Tuesday, July 18th, at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. E. P. Dreyer officiating. Final resting place, Greenacres Memorial Park.
