On the 1788 census of Lafourche (Papeles Procedentes de Cuba; legajo 201): Jean [sic] DAIGLE, age 25, with his wife Marie LEVRON, age 25. They have 5 arpents of land, with 15 quarts of corn, 4 hogs. [His brother is listed a few pages later as Jean Baptiste DAIGLE, age 22, with wife and daughter. On the 1791 census: Mathurin DAIGLE, age 26, with his wife Marie LEVRON, also 26, and two sons: Joseph, age 2, and Charles, age 1. On the 1795 census: Maturino D'AIGLE, age 33, with Maria LEVRONS, 33, and two children, Juan Bautista, age 3, and Josef, age 1 [their first two sons are missing on this census]. On the 1797 census: Mathurin DAIGLE, with his wife Marie LEVRON, both age 34, and two sons: Jean Baptiste, age 4, and Joseph, age 2. In 1798: Mathurin DAIGLE, with his wife Marie, both age 35, and three children ages 6 to 1.
