"has William Willis first married to a Elizabeth Davis with Mary Pulliam as his second wife. Mary's father's Will indicates that Mary and William had no children of their own. It is hard to determine when his Will was written but based on will the children are listed as Elizabeth's and William's....William [may have] died without a will and that when Mary remarried to Howel Rose, a man who seems to be in great debt, William's heirs took action to obtain their share of his estate...William Willis, an Attorney who represents Mary Willis in court actions against Ann Willis, Richard's widow and Richard Nash (Naish)....Tax records refer to William's estate as that of a William Willis, Sr. So it is possible that William also had a son named William, as a William Willis, Jr. is also on the Mecklenburg Co. tax roll."
