'THOMAS WRIGHT, son of Robert (2) and Mary Wright. Married Roberdye Pake, and lived in Brook Hall (The Moat House).'

The first 4 children in this family were born unusually close together - 11 to 12 months between baptisms. This is certainly not impossible, especially if the first two died young (the third lived to be married); however, it is also possible that the children of two different families have been combined into one. The earliest books on the Wright family do not list another Thomas contemporary with this one, but that doesn't mean that one did not exist.

  2. Marriage year estimated based on baptism date of first known child.

Note that the Ancestral File gives a marriage date of 25 Apr 1568 in Kelvedon, Essex (assumed to mean Kelvedon Hatch, Essex). Since this marriage date does not appear in the 1913 book that includes christening and marriage dates that had been found at that time, and it appears that many dates for the Wright family have been fabricated, it is assumed that the date given in the Ancestral File is also fabricated.
