Charles Kilgore is identified as a brother of Person:James Kilgore (5) in James' will. James' will also identifies wife Elizabeth [Jacks] and a "James Jacks as witness---presumably his brotherinlaw, which tends to confirm that Charles is the in fact the brother of James Kilgore (5).

The identification of John Kilgore as the father of James and Charles remains problematical. This identification seems to have been made on the basis of Egles' Notes and Queries which has not yet been examined for this family. Those that make this connection include a third brother Samuel, with John and sons James, Charles and Samuel being immigrants from Ireland circa 1730. There is apparently a will for a John Kilgore in Chester County, that identifies sons Samuel, James, and Charles, but this also has not been confirmed, and some seem to doubt the connection between James (5) and this John of Chester County. ^[1]
