Children of Gideon and Sarah (Stow) Hoadley
Five children of Gideon and Sarah Hoadley have been identified with at least some documentation. Of these, Mariah, b. about 1805 and third in the list of identified children, is said to have been their 7th child.[3]
Two other children have been suggested, as found on FamilySearch and Ancestry.com family trees: a son Ebenezer b. about 1796, and a son Erastus, b. about 1798 and d. about 1812.
The 1790 US Census suggests they may have had a child born about 1789; the 1820 US Census suggests that the son identified as Erastus was still living in 1820, and that Gideon and Sarah may have had another daughter, possibly older than Mariah.
