"Ebenezer B., son of Gideon and Sarah Hoadley, natives of Connecticut, was born in Trumbull county, Ohio July 25, 1807." married Deborah McGowan 28 Jan 1829, who survives him and is 86 years old They had 11 children, 5 sons and six daughters, seven of whom survive Four sons served in the Civil War: Sylvester, the oldest, in 111th Ohio Infantry, died in Atlanta; Josiah in 189th Ohio; Calvin in 26th Illinois; Howard in 12th Indiana Calvary Ebenezer and family settled in Richland Township, Steuben County in September 1852; he and his wife moved to Camden, Michigan about 1 year ago to live with daughter Mrs. Hannah Ellis Ebenezer died in Camden 6 October 1896
