    Be it Remembered That on This Fourteenth day of February A.D. 1862 at the house of Isaac Slater in the town of Platteville in the county aforesaid, Mr. George W. Jones, A white person of the Town of Lima a son of James Jones and Polly Jones his wife born at Wisconsin, Age 21 years by occupation a Farmer _ And Eliza B. Liscum of the Town of Lima, A Whit [sic] person, and a Daughter of H S. Liscum and S. A. Liscum his wife, born at Wisconsin, Age Fifteen years, were with their mutual Consents Legally Joined Together in Holly [sic] Matrimony, which was solemnized by me in the presence of Mrs. A. H. Spencer, and Mary W. Slater, of the town of Platteville, State of wisconcin [sic] of the town _ with attending witnesses having been first satisfied by the oath of said George W. Jones, duly administered by me, the undersigned, in the town of Platteville in the County aforesaid that there was no legal impediment to such Marriage, Given under my hand at the town of Platteville this 14 day of February A.
