We know he was married; his cemetery record at Forest Lawn indicates "married." But neither his wife nor his children are buried in this plot. (He's buried with his parents and siblings.) If he's the Charles Betz living with an Irish wife, Mary, in the 1900 soundex (see Notes), then he may have married in a Catholic church. Darcy has checked the following Catholic Church records for their marriage, to no avail: St. Mary of Sorrows, St. Anne's, and St. michael's. St. Mary Magdalene had a few records included with St. Mary of Sorrows. Darcy has yet to check St. Boniface, St. Louis (as of Dec 2002). Darcy found Charles' and Mary's first three children baptized at St. Mary of Sorrows (Johanna/Jennie, Charles, and his twin Philipp).
