Place page [19 February 2011]

Hello WAJoyce, I noticed that you created a place page for Methodist Church, Constantia, Oswego, New York, United States. WeRelate allows place pages for towns, counties, states, etc and cemeteries. You can indicate specific locations like churches and hospitals in the Description field on a person's page. Since there were no other pages that linked to it, I deleted the Methodist Church page. Place pages [20 March 2011]

Hello WAJoyce, I noticed that you are creating place pages in the form of Place:Clarkson (town), Monroe, New York, United States. This does not follow WeRelate's naming conventions which can be found here. The page for Clarkson already exists: Place:Clarkson, Monroe, New York, United States. The only time a type should be added after a town's name is to differentiate it from another that exists on the same level, like Place:Paris (township), Stark, Ohio, United States and Place:Paris, Stark, Ohio, United States.

Durgee [21 October 2012]

Hi,

My name is Mark Durgee. I am the son of David, grandson of Roland, great grandson Of Harry Durgee. I have taken up and interest in finding where the Durgees have come from and have found a ton of information here on werelate. If I'm not mistaken it seems like you are the one who has done the research and if so I just wanted to say that i appreciate all the hard work you put into it.

It seems the trail runs cold at James Durgee b.1795. There is mention of a book called the Durgee family. Would you be able to tell me anything about that?

Need to fix errors [3 February 2015]

Hello, before gedcoms are uploaded they are checked for errors. Our aim to help people collaborate on common ancestors and to provide clean data. There are many burials occurring a substantial time after peoples death. Also, there are events before some births. Please current the errors and resubmit your gedcom.--sq 00:19, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

If you look closely, most of the delayed burials are for folks that died in the winter and interment had to wait for the ground to un-freeze; some are folks that died far away and the body had to be shipped. Other post-death items are for legal estate settlements.

The event that happened before Uncle Ralph's birth was his family's arrival from Italy. Maybe not directly related to his birth, but I think it's significant.

I'm trying to understand you--

You want me to submit a NEW GEDCOM because the other one has too many errors.

To do this, I need to 1) copy my current database so I can work there without disturbing the original

2) strip out the offending dates; should I leave off just the date of an offending delayed burial, or cut out the cemetery also?

3) would it help to delete all the LIVING people?

4) create a revised GEDCOM from the copied database and submit it

5) would I need to repeat all the People, Places etc. edits that I've already done?
