Jones Pace Cutliff Family Bible [22 February 2017]

A few years ago I found a Family Bible at the Family History Library in Salt Lake that not only had information concerning John Melchezidec Cutliff of Georgia and his wife Mary Shackleford Jones but also listed slaves they owned. While looking around this site here I noticed that John Milton and John Melchezidec may have been mixed up. I have recently gone back to the library and copied all the pages of the bible containing family information. Also if anyone wants to order the microfilm to look at the film number is 381975 and item on the film is number 15 not 13 as listed in the card catalog. Here is my attempt at a transcription of those concerning the Cutliffs starting with John Melchezidec and Mary Shackleford Jones (the slave holders). This bible belonged to the family of Mary I believe:

Viki, A very belated welcome to WeRelate! I just came to update some Cutliff pages and noticed that you were watching. A very big THANK YOU for sharing your information. I am working the line of James Shannon Cutliff for a friend/client. So I've gathered every thing I could find (precious little) and tried to piece together a family. You information will be very helpful. Please share any other information you may have. Are all these entries for one family (parents and their children? What Cutliff family are you interested in? Thanks again.
WeRelate is a site where any registered user is encouraged to contribute. So when you find errors and omissions, you can jump in and add information and please note the sources. You can also start a discussion by adding a note on the Talk page associated with every WeRelate content page. People indicate they are interested in a page by clicking the WATCH link as you have done. Whenever any change is made to the page, every watcher gets an email notice. It is a very efficient way to disseminate information.
Your information was a bit hidden being on your personal talk page. It is better in a Source or MySource record so that it can be referenced on the Person Page for each Bible entry. While we usually use MySource for Bibles as they pertain to one particular family, yours was from the FHL so I found the page for it in the Source database and updated it with your information. You can add the rest of the information from the Bible to that same source page and list yourself as a watcher. It would be very appropriate to add your jpg images to that source page.
For help with WeRelate you can 1) study a page you like to see how it was done by clicking Edit on the left menu. 2) leave a message here I'll "Watch" this page so that I'll see it. 3) leave a message on Support under the Help menu at top left of every page. You may want to study the existing messages on Support and FAQ. People are always working to update the Help content pages so browse them too. --Judy (jlanoux) 14:52, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
