My lines [9 September 2012]

My main lines here are Brennan, Jordan, Roach (all from around Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow, Ireland).

My genealogy website is Brennan Families

Brennans

Thomas Brennan married Catherine Unknown in Carlow. Living in Beckwith 1840/41, Grey Co 1851. Children Anne, Margaret, Catherine, Mary, Ellen/Helen, John, Thomas H., Julia. I know little of this line.

John Brennan married Mary Rice 1836. Oldest 4 children baptised St. Lazarian RC in Leighlinbridge. Children Margaret, Catherine, Mary, James, Bridget, Edward. I don't know when John and Mary died or where they're buried. Living in Beckwith 1851 on lot next to Catherine Roach Brennan, then moved to Grey Co.

Catherine Brennan married John Roach 1833 in Leighlinbridge. 8 children in church records: Ellen, Mary, Bridget Ellen, Jane, Michael, Margaret, Thomas, Patrick. Catherine widowed in Beckwith with 6 children 1851. Catherine's daughter Margaret went to California in the 1860s and married John F. Teague, oldest son of William Teague.

Pat Brennan married Mary Ann Jordan 1835; oldest daughter Margaret born 1837 in Carlow. In Beckwith, Lanark Co.,Canada by 1838 (daughter Catherine born in Ontario). Later children James, Thomas, Michael, John, Edward (my gg grandfather), Mary, Elizabeth, Johanna, Bridget. Moved in the 1840s to Holland Twp, Grey Co. Pat and Mary Ann are buried at St. Paul's Church, Dornoch, Grey. Oldest son James went to California in the 1860s and worked for William Teague.

James Brennan married Clarissa Keyes in Ontario about 1852. They had children Thomas, Margaret, William Henry, Elizabeth Jane, John, Edward S., Ellen Marie, Catherine Marcella, James Alphonsus, Nathaniel Joseph. I believe they're buried at the Catholic Cemetery in Owen Sound but don't have pictures.

Michael Brennan married Margaret Kearns in the early 1850s. They had 5 children: James, Catherine, Thomas, William, Edward D. Michael died about 1870, and Margaret emigrated to Overton, Dawson, Nebraska with her sons. Catherine seems to have died earlier.

William Brennan married Theresa Bradley early 1850s. They had children: Mary, Margaret, Catherine Agnes, James F., Thomas H., Julia, John D., William J., Edward Francis. I believe William and Theresa are buried at St. Paul's.

Mary Brennan married James Boyle before 1851. I'm not sure if she's a sibling to the other Brennans or not. James is in Beckwith 1851, the family's in Holland Twp, Grey in the 1850s and 60s, then in Mara in the 70s on. Mary and James both died in Mara in the 1890s.

Jordans

See Mary Ann Jordan above.

Martin Jordan (I don't have proof that he was her brother, but I suspect it) married Catherine Lawlor before 1836; oldest daughter Mary Ann born 1836 in Carlow. In Beckwith, Lanark Co., Canada by 1837. Other children William, Moses, James, Elizabeth, Ellen, John, Margaret, Martin, Catherine. Martin and Catherine are buried at St. Francis de Sales R.C. cemetery, Montague Township, north of Smiths Falls, Ontario.

Elizabeth "Betsy" Jordan married Michael Mara/O'Mara before 1842 in Carlow. Oldest son Lawrence born 1842 in Carlow. Betsy and Michael are buried at St. Paul's Church, Dornoch, Grey.--Starfire 20:06, 8 September 2012 (EDT)
