Family Tree maker to The Master Genealogist [27 September 2008]

Good news, the Master Genealogist does a direct import of FTM files, so you would not loose thing!

As to the surname "Creger" I do not have any ancestors with that name. Where did you see an entry that would lead you to ask me for that surname? Kris Kuhn Krumm --Msscarlet1957 20:06, 22 September 2008 (EDT)

Now that you have uploaded JACOBS.GED, your next step is to review what your pages will look like, review any potential warnings, and combine (merge) people in your GEDCOM with matching people already on WeRelate. You need to review your GEDCOM before it can finish importing.

• launch the Family Tree Explorer to navigate your tree
• view your network -- If you matched families in your GEDCOM to existing families, find out to which other WeRelate users you are related.
• view related pages not in your tree -- If you matched families in your GEDCOM to existing families, find out which people you are now related to that you can add to your tree (takes awhile to display for large trees).
• view a searchable list of the pages in your tree -- The searchable list will be available about an hour after your tree has been imported.

Vital Data [3 May 2010]

Hello, I am a volunteer admin. It's my job to help people learn how to use our community website. I noticed that your pages had only names. You can add vital data, biographies, photos, scanned documents, sources, etc. by clicking on the edit link at the top of any page.  :)--sq 13:53, 3 May 2010 (EDT)

Hi Knjacobs, noticed your message to solveig regarding the "response time". You might try going to the control panel of your computer and cleaning out the "temporary internet files" cache and cookies, sometimes when your temporary internet files get full, it affects your computer's response time. I try to empty mine at least once a week, and it usually helps after I have re-started afterwards...
