My name is Amy Crow and I'm a genealogist in central Ohio. I have very deep roots in Ohio (especially the southeastern part of the state), Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

I'm involved with several genealogical societies, including the Ohio Genealogical Society and the Federation of Genealogical Societies. I regularly contribute to Ancestry magazine and have had articles published in Genealogical Computing, Digital Genealogist, and the NGS NewsMagazine. I have had the pleasure of being involved in numerous genealogical projects, including serving as the Ohio coordinator for the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System. I'm currently moderating the Ohio tax indexing project at FamilySearchIndexing.org. When complete, we will have an index to early Ohio tax records. They are so valuable to research; it should help numerous people find their early Ohio families.

In July 2009, I started the 1st Ohio Heavy Artillery project here on WeRelate. I have an ancestor in that unit and have been collecting information on that regiment for some time. WeRelate gives me a good opportunity to share that info and allow others to share what they have. Even if you don't have an ancestor in that regiment, please stop by and take a look!

I recently completed my Bachelor's degree in History from The Ohio State University. Currently, I am working toward my Master's of Library and Information Science degree at Kent State.

Although I have uploaded just a very small portion of my family tree into WeRelate, I am very excited about this project. I believe that the best way to make progress in research is collaboration. WeRelate, using a wiki model, makes collaboration so easy.
