sums due to him from Eng. Of the four appraisers, half were Guilford
men, wh. appears strange, but the provision for his wid. seems more
strange. She had been not long his w. hav. been wid. of the first Ed.mund
Quincy, brot. him no ch. and in few yrs. m. Robert Hull. Elizabeth m.
17 Nov. 1643, Henry Adams, and was casual, k. 21 Feb. 1676 in few
hours aft, her h. was shot. * MOSES, Braintree, elder s. of the preced.
b. in Eng. by w. Elizabeth had nine or ten ch. of wh. Moses, b. 16 July
1646, d. young; Elizabeth 5 Aug. 1648; Sarah, 30 Jan. 1651, d. young;
Moses, again, 26 June 1652, d. young; Mary, 12 Mar. 1656; William,
1 Apr. 1657; John, 12 Oct. 1659, d. soon; Sarah, again, 2 May 1662;
and Margaret, 20 Dec. 1664. He was ar. co 1644, freem. 1647, lieut.
and a rep. 1666 and 8, rem. to Boston, there had Hannah, 20 Apr.
1671, and Lydia, 23 Aug. 1674; was constable 16373, and d. 15 Dec.
1690. MOSES, Braintree, s. of the first Stephen of the same, was deac.
and d. 22 June 1746. By w. Mary he had Mary, b. 4 May 1689; Hannah,
2 Apr. 1692; Moses, 21 Oct. 1694, d. within 3 yrs.; Sarah, 3
July 1697; Moses, again 13 June 1700; and Aaron, 8 Nov. 1703, d.
young. * NATHANIEL, Rehoboth, younger s. of the first Stephen, b. in
Eng. a merch. partner with his f. was rep. 1670-1, and liv. at Boston
but d. bef. his f. leav. Nathaniel, his only ch. b. 18 Oct. 1661, and wid.
Eliz, or Alice. NATHANIEL, Rehoboth, s. of the preced. by w. Dorothy
had Dorothy, b. 3 Feb. 1696; Nathaniel, 24 May 1697; Abigail, 28
July 1699; Jonathan, 2 July 1701; perhaps Mary of unkn. date;
Rachel, 14 July 1705; and Elizabeth 15 Apr. 1712; and he d. 1718.
NATHANIEL, Rehoboth, s. of the sec. Stephen of the same,
prob. rem. to Bristol, where he had w. and four ch. in Feb. 1689,
had s. Nathaniel, thot. to be ancest. of the gr. fam. at Worchester,
and was, perhaps, f. of Stephen, H. C. 1721; and six ds. Elizabeth Sarah,
Mary, Hannah, Martha, and Dorothy. NICHOLAS, Eastham, s. of
Thomas of the same, by w. Hannah and Thankful, b. 14 Mar. 1700;
Priscilla, 16 Oct. 1701; Philip, 18 Nov. 1704, d. under 21 yrs.; Lois,
29 Sept. 1705; Abigail, 3 Aug. 1707; and Hannah, 24 Sept. 1709; and
his w. d. 24 Jan. 1732. PHILIP, New Haven, m. 1 Jan. 1680, Mary, d.
of capt. John Nash, rem. to Northampton, freem. 1690, and liv. some
yrs. there, and Seth, wh. d. 12 Aug. 1689, may have been his ch.; had
Martha, b. 24 Oct. d. 5 Nov. 1681; Mary, b. 1690, but rem. again to Conn.
and part of his days was of Windham. RALPH, Freetown, whose f. is not kn.
but he had liv. some yrs. in R. I. bef. rem. to F. and, by w. Dorothy, had John,
b. 1685, and perhaps Sarah, and aft. rem. a. 1688, and later had Thomas,
Joseph, and Mary, made his will 23 Apr. 1722, and d. soon. * ROBERT,
Ipswich, b. a 1601, was prob. from Co. Suffolk, as his w. Ann was
d. of John Whiting of Hadleigh in that shire, freem. 2 June 1641,
rep. 1647-9, had good est. and was liberal in distrib. of it,
