    GRIHME or GRIHMES, BENJAMIN, Hartford, s. of Henry, was a lieut.
and d. 1725, had Benjamin, b. 1685, d. soon; George, 1687; John,
1689; Benjamin, again, 1694; Samuel,1696; and by sec. w. m. 1698, Sarah
Webster, had Elisha, 1699; and Isaac, 1702. HENRY, Hartford 1661, had good
est. d. 1684, leav. Benjamin, then aged 22; John, 19, d. a. 1720; Joseph,17;
Mary, 16; Sarah, 13; Elizabeth 10; Susanna, 7; and Rebecca, 4. This name, in the
sec. generat. perhaps from no desire of concealm. bec. Graham. Yet
Benjamin, who m. 1681, Abigail Humphrey, is call. when her interment is
rec. 1697, Grimes.

    GRIMES, GEORGE, Billerica, m. 15 Apr. 1675, Elizabeth d. of George
Blanchard of Charlestown. SAMUEL, Boston, a pewterer, by w. Frances had
Mary, b. 27 Apr. 1639; freem. 18 May 1642, yet spell. in the ch. rec. of 26
Mar. preced. Grame, and in town rec. of b. Greames. He rem. to Plymouth,
there, by w. Ann, had Susanna, b. 22 Nov. 1657, wh. m. 27 Mar. 1678, Daniel
Vaughan of Newport. WILLIAM, Greenwich, d. 1671, without fam. gave his
prop. to the town.

    GRIMSTONE or GRIMSTED, MARGARET, a wid. d. at Boston
20 Jan. 1650. Her inv. tak. 7 Feb. foll. was �27.13; but wh. rec. this prop.
is not kn. to me.

    GRINNELL, DANIEL, Portsmouth, R. I. may have been f. or br. of
JOHN, a freem. 1678, liv. on Block isl. MATTHEW, R. I., 1638,
receiv. as a freem. and liv. at Portsmouth 1655.

Cooke of Westfield, had Elizabeth b. 5 Feb. 1695; Deborah, 16 Jan. 1697, d. next
yr. Hannah, 16 Mar. 1699; Benjamin, 14 Apr. 1701; Zerviah, 26 Dec. 1703; Zaccheus,
10 Dec. 1705; Ann, 28 May 1708; Azubah, 2 Aug. 1710; Esther, 4 Apr. 1712; and
Moses, 10 July 1714. DANIEL, Windsor, eldest br. of the preced. m. 3 Feb. 1681,
Mindwell, d. of Nathaniel Bissell, had Daniel, and Nathaniel, tw. b. 14 Feb. 1685;
Peletiah, 13 Sept. 1689; Mary, 1692; Edward, 8 Mar. 1696; Deborah, 7 Nov. 1698;
and David, 6 Aug. 1701. His w. d. 31 Dec. 1728. * EDWARD, Windsor, b. at
Kenilworth, in Warwicksh. 1607, as tradit. says, came, it is always said, with Rev.
Ephraim Huit, tho. it is certain. wrong, for his s. George testif. that he was b. 1638,
and in his youthful yrs. "with his f. and uncle Matthew at Kenilworth,
Eng. Bef. com. to W. he had Francis, George, John, and Sarah, prob.
all b. in Eng. and he had at Windsor, Ann, bapt. 19 June 1642, in wh. yr.
John d. there; Mary, b. 5, bapt. 13 Oct. 1644; Deborah, bapt. 28 June 1646;
Joseph, b. 12 Mar. 1648; Samuel, bapt. 18 Nov. 1649; John, again, 1
Aug. 1652; and prob. Edward; all by w. Margaret, wh. d. 23 Aug. 1670;
rem. a. 1664 to Killingworth, so named acc. the com. pronunciat. of his native
place. He m. 1673, Sarah, wid.of James Bemis of New London; was rep. 1658-61
for W. and often for K. His s. Francis, and br. Matthew, as well as hims. were
reps. in one Court. His s. Samuel d. 1673, and he d. 1691. Sarah m. 10
Nov. 1650, Samuel Phelps; and next, 21 July 1670, Nathaniel Pinney;
Mary m. 19 May 1661, Timothy Phelps; and Deborah m. 13 Nov. 1662, Samuel
Buell
