have declin. the advantage; and we can hardly doubt, that the fact of
the other sufferer being a min. and s. of thee doll. in wh. the f. of M. then
sat as Presid. exclud. all undue feel. of tenderness in many of the
spectators, especial. in him wh. Calef tells us, rode on a horse to instr.
the witnesses at the solemn scene. Tardy vindicat. in small degr. of this
innoc. was made by the governm. on petitn. of his elder s. Charles,
provis. in 1711, for his heirs. That valua. paper may be read in Hist.
Coll. of Essex Inst. I. 57. So late as 1774, his ld. at Falmouth,
against wh. the formalit. of forfeit. had not been applied, was sold by
George and Thomas B. of Newburyport, his descend. Of the ch. beside
the four bef. ment. we hear of Mary, wh. m. and liv. at Attleborough, and
Jeremiah, wh. was insane, possib. in conseq. of the treatm. of his f. but
whether the last w. (a d. of Thomas Ruck), wh. surv. him, were sec. or
third, is not told; Rebecca liv. at Boston, w. of a Tolman, it is said;
George liv. at Ipswich; Hannah, from tradit. was w. of a Mr. Fox, wh.
liv. in Boston, near Barton's point; and Elizabeth m. Peter Thomas of Boston,
progenit. of the late Isaiah of Worcester, LL. D. found. of the

Reg. I. 37, with copious refer. Hutch. Upham, and Willis. JAMES,
Boston 1674, a tailor, rem. to Bristol, there in 1689 had w. and
three ch. JEREMIAH, Scituate 1674, m. May 1651, a Huet, perhaps
d. of Thomas of Hingham, had Jeremiah, b. 1652; John,
1653; Elizabeth 1655; and Mary, 1657; and d. 1660. JEREMIAH, Scituate,
eldest s. of the preced. had Jeremiah, but wh. was the w. or date of
m. or b. of s. or d. of either h. or w. is not seen. JOHN, Salem 1637,
was from Yarmouth, a cooper, com. that yr. in the Mary Ann, aged 28,
with w. Ann, 40, unless the Westminster rec. from custom ho. of Y. be
wrong. JOHN, New Haven 1644, may be the same as him of Newtown,
L.I. 1656. JOHN, New London, s. of Robert, m. 14 Dec. 1670, Mary,
d. of John Culver, had John, b. 2 Sept. 1671; Mary, 14 Dec. 1672;
Hannah, 9 Oct. 1674; Margaret, 5 Oct. 1677; Samuel, 5 Oct. 1679;
Robert, 9 Sept. 1681; and Abigail, 10 Aug. 1682. JOHN, Enfield 1684,
