Visakhapatnam district (formerly known as Vizagapatam district) is one of the nine districts in the Coastal Andhra region of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, headquartered at Visakhapatnam. It is one of the twelve coastal districts of the state.The district share broders with in the north and east, Vizianagaram district and South Anakapalli district in the south-west and Bay of Bengal in the south.[1]
