A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Sheet from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"SHEET, a tything in Petersfield parish, Hants; on the river Rother, 1 mile N E of Petersfield. It has a post-office under Petersfield. Acres: 1,549. Real property: £2,970. Population: 484. Houses: 107."

It is 1.1 miles (1.8 km) northeast of Petersfield, just off the A3 road in the East Hampshire District. Sheet, which had been part of Petersfield Rural District, was abolished in 1932 and divided between Petersfield and Steep.
