Richmond was the earliest settlement near the confluence of the Kalamazoo River and the Rabbit River in Manlius Township, Allegan County, Michigan. It was abandoned in favor of Manlius, but then at the coming of the railroad the present community of New Richmond was founded near the original site of Richmond.
