Powburn is a small village on the A697 within the large parish of Whittingham in Northumberland, England about 13 km south of Wooler and 16 km northwest of Alnwick.

It origins are probably Roman, it sits on the main Roman road from Hadrians Wall to Berwick on Tweed.

It is now a part of the civil parish of Glanton.
