A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Harnhill from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"HARNHILL, a parish in Cirencester [registration] district, Gloucester; near the Thames and Severn canal, 3½ miles ESE of Cirencester [railway] station. It has a post-office under Cirencester. Acres: 689. Real property: £1,343. Population: 88. Houses: 17. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol. Value: £155. Patron: G. Bengough, Esq. The church is early English.

Harnhill was absorbed into the neighbouring parish of Driffield in 1935.
