Feltham is a suburban town in the London Borough of Hounslow, at the edge of south-west London. Feltham is centred west south west of the conventional Centre of London and south of Heathrow Airport.

Landmarks and economically important sites include a large entertainment park (Leisure West), various logistics and advanced engineering businesses, a government mapping office and Feltham Young Offenders' Institution.

Research Tips

Feltham is one of the ancient parishes of Middlesex. From 1894 to 1904 it was part of Staines Rural District and from 1904 it was part of Feltham Urban District. In 1965, Feltham Urban District was abolished, becoming part of the London Borough of Hounslow.
