On 23 sep 1867 the City of Cork arrived in New york with a Jan Schut, 4 years, parents Gerrit and Doris Schut and a son called Albert, Could this be the same Jan Schut? --henk 06:55, 21 March 2013 (EDT)

His 1900 census return says 1866, and since he's not living with his parents that means the number is probably from his own memory. So I would say yes, that matches. I wonder if Aaltje's parents came over at the same time? --Pkeegstra 06:44, 22 March 2013 (EDT)

P.S. It's amusing how the names of the spouses got reversed.....
