Person talk:Aaltje Vredeveld (3)

From Aaltje Vredeveld (5): Research Notes [26 June 2018]

is Person:Aaltje Vredeveld (5) the same as Person:Aaltje Vredeveld (3) ?--henk 09:00, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

We should be able to find her death certificate. --pkeegstra 10:30, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
Found the death certificate. It names the father of (5) as Albert. Unless that's wrong. Drenlias knows only Roelofje 1845 and Hendrikje 1845 daughters of Albert.
Note also Aaltje 1839 daughter of Barteld who emigrates and marries Hermanus Gezon. --pkeegstra 11:05, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

The only marriages for Albert Vredeveld known to WieWasWie are in Beilen.

(The implication being that the search for Aaltje probably can limit itself to Drenthe and not extend to the Vredevelds from Overijssel or elsewhere.)

And there are no illegitimate Aaltje's born on 8 Aug anywhere in Drenthe any year between 1835 and 1840.

I noticed there was 1 other Vredeveld in Polkton: Person:Lammigje Vredeveld (1) a sister of Person:Aaltje Vredeveld (3) not sure if it is a clue but nevertheless..

For sure it is a clue. I wonder if she has a 1903 obituary.
It is also a clue that her sister Dina was also a servant in a non-Dutch household in 1850.

There is a photo of her first husband Lucas Elbers the Coopersville Reformed church has. It has been cropped and cuts out the person next to him which I believe to be one of his wives. Does anyone know where to locate the original photo? The church does not think they have it.--Bashy32000 10:55, 26 June 2018 (UTC)

I'd say we have enough proof to tie the two together, and the name on the death certificate is just an error. (death certificate informant was Mrs. James Mulder. Do we know her or him?) --pkeegstra 10:51, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
yes we do: Mrs. James Mulder (stepdaughter)

I can look for obituary. Diane Hosler--Diane Hosler 21:20, 27 June 2018 (UTC)

I did not find an obit for Lillie Vredeveldt Kloosterhouse. 'Bashy32000' would be the expert, and maybe between she and I we can ask the older folks if she and Ellen were sisters. There are plenty of Vredeveldts and Kloosterhouses to ask :)--Diane Hosler 23:55, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
