On 21 Apr 1884 the following 2 people arrived from Netherlands:

  • Pieter Ganzevoort, age 24 [abt 1860]
  • Aaltje Ganzevoort, age 5 [abt 1879]

The latter would seem to be Aaltje Ganzevoort born 10 Jul 1878 in Barradeel, parents Pieter Ganzevoort and Pietje Krol. FWIW, Pietje's sister is Grietje Krol, born 1858 in Leeuwarderadeel.

There is another marriage record for Stapenhorst/Ganzevoort that gives more (and conflicting) details. Based on that, could Helena be Person:Aaltje Ganzevoort (1)? --Jennifer (JBS66) 15:25, 22 January 2014 (UTC)

In particular, see the 1900 census for the couple, where her birth is listed as July, 1879 (right month, but off by one year from Aaltje). --Pkeegstra 11:38, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
