Yetta (Luella) A. Conkling was born 20 September 1887 in Lyons (Rice County), Kansas. The census gives her name as Luella A., but her DAR application and obituary identify her as Yetta. She graduated from Washburn University in Kansas in 1910. On 8 December 1917, she was married in Lyons to Harry Adam Speck. They moved to Hutchinson, Kansas in 1940. Harry was born on 24 July 1884 and died on 28 February 1964. Yetta died on 22 March 1978 in Hutchinson, Kansas. Her obituary lists her brother and sisters as survivors, but does not mention children. Yetta and Harry are buried in Lyons (Rice County), Kansas.
