I have changed his birthdate from Oct 1857 to agree with the above census record. Also the obituary below gives his birth date to be 13 Jan 1862.

Obituary contributed by Jack Tetrick: FORMER LOCAL BUSINESS MAN DEATH VICTIM W. Scott Jackson, 73, Once Druggist Here, Passes Away Yesterday W. Scott Jackson, 73 years old, a former druggist and business man of Grafton, died at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon in a Clarksburg hospital, where he had been a patient for nine days. His health had been failing, however, for the last three years. Funeal plans call for services at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Bartlett Funeral Home, Grafton, with interment in Bluemont cemetery. Native of Jane Lew Mr. Jackson was born Jan 13, 1862, at Jane Lew, W. Va., the son of Joseph Blackwell Jackson and Emilie Bird Lorentz Jackson (continued on page 8)
