Count William of Nassau-Siegen (13 August 1592 – 7/17 July 1642), , official titles: Graf zu Nassau, Katzenelnbogen, Vianden und Diez, Herr zu Beilstein, was since 1624 Count of Nassau-Siegen, a part of the County of Nassau. He came from the House of Nassau-Siegen, a cadet branch of the Ottonian Line of the House of Nassau. He first served the Hanseatic League and the Republic of Venice, and later served as an officer in the Dutch States Army, where he eventually attained the rank of field marshal. He was also governor of Emmerich, Heusden and Sluis.
