    (4) William Willis (d. 1813, Franklin County, VA). William had at least five sons, including David, Jubal, Lee, Isaiah, and JAMES. William received land from his father in 1811. In the 1811 Franklin County land tax records, William's father Isaiah is listed as owning 105 acres. The following is noted in Franklin County Court Orders for October 1811: "A Deed from Isaiah Willis to William Willis" (page 2, LDS micrrofilm no. 31517). In the 1812 Franklin County land tax records, Isaiah is no longer listed, and William is listed as owning 105 acres. William died on or before November 1813. (Franklin County Court Orders, LDS microfilm reel no. 31517) William's sons David and Jubal were the administrators of their father William's intestate estate (Franklin County Court Orders, Feb. 1814).

Several of William's children, including Lee, Isaiah, and JAMES, later lived in the Monroe County area of Missouri. Concerning James, who married Mehala (last name unknown), the following is based on information from the 1850 census of Monroe County, MO: JAMES (b. about 1800), Mehala (b. about 1801), their children and approximate birth dates are Amanda (1823), Martha (1827), Lee (1831), James R. (1833), Jubal (1834), Mary (1837), and Unknown female (1843). This is the only information I have on James.
