    link 16. ABIGAIL5 (ANDREW) RUSSELL. (Samuet1, Samuel3, Samuel2, William1). Born 6 February 1723/4 (Milford VR) and baptized 9 February 1723/4 (Milford FC), in Milford, the daughter of Samuel and Eunice (Hall) Andrew. She died 13 June 1765 in Windsor, Connecticut (Hale, Palisado Cemetery, Windsor, p. 35). She married Reverend WILLIAM RUSSELL. He was born 23 July 1725 (Barbour, Middletown Vital Records; Henry R. Stiles, The History of Ancient Windsor, [reprinted New Hampshire Pub. Co 1976], Vol. II, p. 670; hereinafter, Stiles, Windsor), in Middletown, the son of Reverend William and Mary Russell. He died 19 April 1775 (Barbour, Windsor Vital Records). After Abigail's death he married Abigail Newberry, the daughter of Captain Roger Newberry (Yale Biographies, Vol. II, pp. 51-53).

    William graduated from Yale in 1745 and was the minister in Windsor, Connecticut (Yale Biographies, Vol. II, pp. 51-53). William left no will. Administration of his estate was given to Nathaniel Loomis and Jeremiah Wadsworth on 5 May 1775. An inventory showed the estate valued at £310-56-0 on 28 June 1775.     iii. ABIGAIL, bp. 16 October 1757 (Stiles, Windsor, p. 670) m. JOHN N. MATHER. He's b. 8 October 1750 the son of Nathaniel and Elizabeth Mather (Stiles, Windsor, p. 670) d. at the Battle of Kingston, New York while serving as an officer in the Continental Army (Stiles, Windsor, p. 670).
