    16. ABIGAIL5 (ANDREW) RUSSELL ... married Reverend WILLIAM RUSSELL.

    He was born 23 July 1725 (Barbour, Middletown Vital Records; Henry R. Stiles, The History of Ancient Windsor, [reprinted New Hampshire Pub. Co 1976], Vol. II, p. 670; hereinafter, Stiles, Windsor), in Middletown, the son of Reverend William and Mary Russell. He died 19 April 1775 (Barbour, Windsor Vital Records). After Abigail's death he married Abigail Newberry, the daughter of Captain Roger Newberry (Yale Biographies, Vol. II, pp. 51-53).

    William graduated from Yale in 1745 and was the minister in Windsor, Connecticut (Yale Biographies, Vol. II, pp. 51-53). William left no will. Administration of his estate was given to Nathaniel Loomis and Jeremiah Wadsworth on 5 May 1775. An inventory showed the estate valued at £310-56-0 on 28 June 1775.
