Facts and Events
Name William Renick
Gender Male
Birth? Jun 1714 Ireland
Marriage Abt 1734 to Ann Hamilton
Death? 1805 Paxtang, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania

Thomas2 Renick (George1) was actually the father of the children shown here. According to researcher Glenn Gealy (quote):

"- If you compare the children of William Renick (1714) and Ann Hamilton to the children of Thomas Renick (d. 1751), you will see they are the same. This suggests someone allocated Thomas’ children to William and Ann.
"- William (b. c1704) of Paxtang disappeared after 1741 simply because he had died; this would explain the belief that a William moved to VA.
"- We don’t find a record of a William in the 1744 Frederick Co. VA feebook.
"- It is believed that Virkus made up the Renick-Hamilton marriage.
"- There is no indication of their having been two Williams in Paxtang in the decades prior to 1740.

"Does this mean that William Renick and Ann Hamilton simply did not exist? Perhaps. I assume some William Renick died in 1805, but don’t have any idea who it may have been. This should be researched."
