William Mullen was the brother or half-brother of John S. Mullin. William's mother was either Hannah Collins or Jane Lowder/Louder. John's mother was Hannah Collins.

William Mullen appears on the 1827 tax list in Warren County, Ohio.

William married (1) Hannah Cattell and (2) Anne Peebles. William moved to Warren County from Burlington County and lived on land next to his brother, John S. Mullin, the latter of whom was known to be from Chester Township, Burlington County, New Jersey. Perhaps William was born in Chester Township as well.

He, too, had a large family. Family legend states they had a sister, Beulah and that their grandparents, father of John who m. Jane Louder, were Edward and Ann Stokes Mullin.

Upon his death he probably left $500 dollars to Charles, Marmaduke and Mordecai Crocket, his grandsons.
