Gloucester County is a county located in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 288,288,[1] increasing by 33,615 (+13.2%) from the 254,673 counted in the 2000 U.S. Census,[2] retaining its position as the state's 14th-most populous county; The percentage increase since 2000 was the largest in New Jersey, almost triple the statewide increase of 4.5%, and the absolute increase in residents was the third highest.[3] Its county seat is Woodbury.[4]

It is located south of Philadelphia and northwest of Atlantic City. It is part of the Camden, New Jersey Metropolitan Division of the Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington Primary Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the Delaware Valley Combined Statistical Area.
