William Mitchell was baptised on 5th May 1821 at the parish church of St Mary in Warwick. He was the son of Mary Mitchell, formerly Piggot, and her husband William Mitchell, a brick maker. Sadly young William died when he was only four or five years old, apparently whilst staying with his aunt, his mother's sister Elizabeth Atwood, who lived on Coventry Street in Birmingham. He was buried on 5th February 1826 in Birmingham.
