Bedford Co. Wills - pg. 590 - "Hugh C. Hurst, exec. of William Gabbert, dec., who made a will. Widow Mary (Ann) Gabbert. Children: Rebecca Ann Epperson, George G. Gabbert, Ruthy White, Nelson J. Gabbert, Wm. Gabbert, Jordan Gabbert, Barton Gabbert, Martha Gabbert, Amanda Gabbert, and Lucinda Gabbert. To George W. Brown and wife - one share and James Carlisle and wife - one share.

From Ira Gabbert - Traditional information is that when he became of age in Lincoln Co., Kentucky, he accepted a horse, bridle, saddle and $300 cash as patrimony and migrated to Indiana. He owned property there certainly from 1820 through 1824 based on land records. Sometime around 1847 he moved to Bedford Co., TN and died there 26 Jan 1852.
