Gabbert 1840 Federal Census, Bartholomew Co., Indiana? see Wm. Gabberet pg.212 as well as George, Jacob, and James Gabbert Found in 1840 census, Bartholomew County, Indiana: William Gabbert and Jordan Epperson 1850 census, Bedford Co., TN, showed William and Mary Ann Gabbert lived close to Jourdan and Rebecca Bedford Co. Wills - pg. 590 - "Hugh C. Hurst, exec. of William Gabbert, dec., who made a will. Widow Mary (Ann) Gabbert. Children: Rebecca Ann Epperson, George G. Gabbert, Ruthy White, Nelson J. Gabbert, Wm. Gabbert, Jordan Gabbert, Barton Gabbert, Martha Gabbert, Amanda Gabbert, and Lucinda Gabbert. To George W. Brown and wife - one share and James Carlisle and wife - one share. Note: This will was recorded several years ago by a former Clerk - recorded in will book, page 438 and 439 - destroyed by fire in 1863. pg. 407 - "William Gabbert departed this life 26 January 1852" in Bedford Co., TN. pg 488 - "Mary Ann Gabbert, now Mary Ann Hastings" From Ira Gabbert - Traditional information is that when he became of age in Lincoln Co., Kentucky, he accepted a horse, bridle, saddle and $300 cash as patrimony and migrated to Indiana. He owned property there certainly from 1820 through 1824 based on land records. Sometime around 1847 he moved to Bedford Co., TN and died there 26 Jan 1852. |
