5. WILLIAM EDMISTON3 (EDMONDSON) (MATHEW2 EDMUNDSON, JAMES1) was born October 19, 1750 in Augusta Co, VA, and died May 1828 in Putnam Co. Indiana/Pendleton Co., KY. He married MARY COOK December 22, 1794 in Bourbon Co., KY, daughter of JOHN COOK and MARGARET BLAIR. She was born October 05, 1768 in Greenbrier Co , W. VA, and died November 10, 1862 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Children of WILLIAM (EDMONDSON) and MARY COOK are:

i. DAVID EDMISTON4 (EDMUNDSON), b. June 09, 1811; m. TEMPERANCE GORDON, March 18, 1841.

ii. MATHEW (EDMUNDSON), b. February 28, 1798, Harrison Co., KY; d. February 04, 1890, Fredericktown, MO; m. ARABELLA LOUGHERY, February 13, 1834, Greencastle, IN.

iii. MARGARET (EDMUNDSON), b. 1802; d. 1862.
