    CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: "William Cornewell" admitted to Roxbury church as member #76, in a group that arrived in 1633 [RChR 1:3]. "William Cornwell Sr." joined the Middletown church at or soon after its organization on 4 November 1658, along with a number of other family members, including two by the name of "Mary Cornwell," one of whom was likely his second wife [MidChR 1:3].
    OFFICES: … William Cornwall's houselot in Hartford was in or near the Soldiers' Field, suggesting that he served in the Pequot War [HaBOP 322], a likely suggestion in any case, given his designation as sergeant.
    BIRTH: Baptized at Terling, Essex, 25 May 1609, son of William Cornwall and Margaret Hayward [TAG 51:115].
    DEATH: Middletown 21 February 1677/8 [MidVR 1:45].
